Rachel Louise Brown Review

Rachel Louise brown is a photographer and photo director, her work falls within the cinematic realm of photography, therefore this review was very essential in order for me to develop my skills regarding cinematic photography as Rachel is a practitioner who works in this way, her advice helped refine my craft and direct me towards making a stronger series of cinematic images.

Before I began to make progress on this work, Rachel was a big influence on my work, specifically her project ‘simulations’ (2018), I was really drawn to the striking imagery which carried the story-telling elements, whilst conveying deeper meaning. Rachel was very supportive as we discussed strong points of the images, and things that could be improved like staging, whilst suggesting other photographers to look at for inspiration.

Overall, the review was extremely important for my development and as this is the type of aesthetic I would like to be clearly visible within my personal projects, the advice and feedback that Rachel had given was highly valuable.
