Sam Brown- Portraiture lighting

Sam brown co-owner of REwork studios recently came into university to share his knowledge and experience regarding portraiture and commercial lighting set-ups.

Sam set up an effective lighting set up, with a coloured background, and delivered a quick, concise demo on how to create strong, well-lit portraits using this set-up. We then used the set-up that Sam had constructed and experimented with the lights, moving their positions and switching between soft boxes and beauty dishes to create an admirable source of light which fell nicely onto the models face.

The workshop was very inspiring as we learnt a simple portraiture lighting set-up which created striking portraits, overall it was very beneficial for me to learn more about how to work within the studio and develop my studio based lighting skills.
